XMP
Remove XMP Metadata From Images Online
XMP can carry editing and provenance information that is invisible when viewing the image.
Why does XMP matter?
XMP is a metadata framework used by many editing applications to describe files, workflow details and other editing-related information.
MediaClean first inspects readable signals. Cleanup then re-encodes the image into a new file instead of carrying ordinary XMP containers forward.
If you need metadata for archival or rights management, keep the original and use the cleaned copy only for sharing.
How do you know cleanup worked?
After the new copy is created, the tool scans again and shows the new size, format and remaining readable signals.
Questions about this tool
Is XMP the same as EXIF?
No. They are different metadata structures and an image can contain one or both.
Is the original replaced?
No. Cleanup creates a separate file on your device.
