IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
What happens to the file during cleanup?
Does this guarantee X removes a “Made with AI” label?
No. We clean file-level metadata and show signals we can read. X decides its own labels and can rely on other signals.
Is there a daily image limit?
Not for the current core inspection and cleanup tool. Process supported images one at a time with no account or daily credits, up to 20MB per image.
Does the current cleaner upload the image?
Core inspection and re-encoding happen in the browser for supported images.
Why can PNG become JPG or WebP?
If transparency is not needed, we use compressed JPEG for a smaller file. When transparency exists, WebP keeps it with better compression.
What about SynthID and invisible watermarks?
Those are different from EXIF and XMP. The metadata cleaner does not claim to remove signals embedded in pixels.
