What does an AI metadata cleaner actually do?
Generated or AI-assisted images can carry provenance, editing-software, XMP, C2PA and ordinary EXIF fields. These signals live in the file and do not have to be visible in the pixels.
The tool first inspects readable fields, then creates a new image copy without carrying ordinary metadata containers forward. The output is scanned again so you can compare before and after.
This is file-metadata cleanup. It does not claim to remove invisible pixel watermarks or bypass platform classifiers.
How do you know cleanup worked?
After the new copy is created, the tool scans again and shows the new size, format and remaining readable signals.
