What is AI metadata inside an image?
Some creation and editing tools add information through XMP, C2PA or other file fields. This data is separate from the visible image and can stay attached after export.
MediaClean checks recognizable signals and creates a new copy that drops ordinary metadata. The cleaned file is scanned again afterward.
This does not mean every possible AI-detection method disappears. Visual classifiers and pixel-level watermarking operate differently.
How do you know cleanup worked?
After the new copy is created, the tool scans again and shows the new size, format and remaining readable signals.
