How does C2PA relate to an image file?
C2PA is a standard for attaching provenance and edit information to digital content. In image files, related data can appear in structures such as JUMBF or referenced XMP.
MediaClean shows signals it finds, creates a new cleaned copy, then scans the output again so you can compare the result.
Finding a file signature is not the same as cryptographically verifying a full manifest. The current release focuses on practical inspection and cleanup.
How do you know cleanup worked?
After the new copy is created, the tool scans again and shows the new size, format and remaining readable signals.

No. The current release combines metadata parsing with file-signal inspection rather than full trust-chain verification.
